I hope everyone managed to gracefully endure this latest power outage. If any of you had power out for several days, DTE has advised to reach out to the Department of Health and Human services for help with losses, such as food. Reaching out to DTE if your power has been out for multiple days is also advised, as they may be able to offer some credits.

I am still waiting on the meeting minutes from our Executive President, Ms. Joyce Moore, for the June and July meetings. I will post the minutes as soon as they are received, and thank you all for your patience. While we are waiting for the minutes from the president, I want to be sure everyone is aware that meetings will now be merged with 360 Detroit Inc. We are excited to work with 360 Detroit Inc, and make our vision of a revitalized and sustainable community increasingly possible. This vision is best achieved through community engagement, so we hope that you all can continue to come to the meetings. Meetings will now be on the second Wednesday of each month, at our usual time and location. This means our next meeting will be on Wednesday, August 14th, 6 PM, at the Detroit Police Department 10th Precinct Mini-Station  – 8675 Rosa Parks Blvd.

Additionally, 360 Detroit Inc. will be hosting their free 6th Annual Community Block Party on Aug 10th, 2019, and if you would like to volunteer, please sign up here. The registration deadline to volunteer is August 1st, so there is still plenty of time to commit to helping out. More information about location and time of event will be posted in the coming days for those who are interested in enjoying the festivities.

Excited to see you all at the next meeting!
